Since the 15th of September, Arnold has been a starter only in the match against Villarreal, where he was substituted at the 52-minute mark. In the El Clásico, he made a token appearance, and he did not feature in the Madrid Derby. For the past four games, he has been an unused substitute. Mourinho favors players with superior physical attributes, and Arnold is often deployed only when the Portuguese coach believes the team is significantly ahead. This season, he has been a first-choice starter just once away from home. Throughout the current campaign, Arnold has participated in seven matches, accumulating a total of 344 minutes on the pitch. Defensively, he is outmatched by邓弗里斯, who has played in three more games and logged nearly 600 minutes on the field.
